Since 1997 I’ve drawn thousands of “Hughcards” [cartoons drawn on the backs of business card], just to give me something to do while sitting at the bar (see archive below). Two decades later, I’m still at it.

Looking back, for all the countless hours spent drawing , it seems to me that the best thing to come out of it was the fact that a good many of those hours were spent bringing my mind to a meditative state, a Zen state, in the zone, a mindful state, closer to the Lord, call it what you will. For that, I am truly grateful.
